Celebrating German Heritage Together



The Mission of the Club is to promote and preserve German customs and traditions by familiarizing the general public with German folklore; social and festive activities; as well as German and German-American history, and to promote and unite its members in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship, mutual understanding and good citizenship.

Entertainment will be Fun and Energizing
The King Guys Oktoberfest Quartet will entertain this year. They will provide authentic sounds of beer halls in Munich, Germany, including Polkas, Waltzes, Sing-a-longs and of course the Chicken Dance. Every member of the group is either a current or former musician at Walt Disney World and the German Biergarten at EPCOT. This is a professional, quality band that sets high standards for every performance.
The Glenview Country Club will cater this year, providing a traditional German Dish: Jaeger Schnitzel with Spaetzle (noodles) and Red Cabbage.
Tickets are discounted by $5 now, so they are on sale for only $30. After August 30th any remaining tickets will be $35. In July, August and September we will have a station set up at Laurel Manor Recreation Center where tickets can be obtained for cash or check (payable to: The German American (Deutscher) Club).
Village ID or Guest ID required
We will serve you at this event, but BYOBeverage...water and coffee will be available.















Membership is offered to any Village resident who:
a. appreciates German culture, traditions, food, festivals, music or dance,
b. wants to interact in friendship and fellowship (Gemuetlichkeit) with others
c. ever owned a German Shepard or Dachshund...
Guests are also welcome to attend so...Join us today!
We generally meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month (but not in July or August) at Laurel Manor, starting at 6 p.m. (Doors open around 5:20)
